I’m japanese girl from tokyo and I’m trying myself to the online dating world. I just wanted to know if it’s safe to meet someone in real after meeting him virtually in an online dating site. I never did that but I like a guy… should I go over my fears?

nope i wouldnt think it was safe at all,but if you do make sure it is in a public place and maybe with a friend
never meet a stranger ………alone
if you’re not feeling good about meeting someone from online dating sites, you should probably not be going to those kinds of sites.
but since you have signed up and met someone virtually so far, go to a very public place and tell a friend where you’re going and what this person looks like.
always err on the side of caution and absolutely trust your gut.
if you don’t feel safe, leave.
good luck.
Do not, repeat DO NOT meet anyone in person that you met on line , there are big risk to do that.
Keep your fears. You don’t know the guy. If you really want to meet him do it in a public place with some friends. Be very careful.
It should be ok as long as you meet them in a public place where nothing strange will happen, I would suggest going to a place a few stations from your house/apartment and meeting them in front of the local Koban.
I wouldn’t recommend it. If you do have a group of friends with you and also be in a very public place. Then you can find out what he is like. Just be careful. Good Luck.
No i don’t think its safe to go meet a foreign guy that contacted you over the internet. I think you should just stick with meeting of your friend’s friends. its just safer..
Meet him for a short time in a very public place, like Starbucks. Ask a friend to come along, and secretly, quietly, watch from another table. If he seems normal enough, you can make other dates later.
It may or may not be safe ! NEVER give out your home address too soon ! There are ALOT of bakas out there ! I’d wait at least 6 months before talking about meeting in person. Then ONLY in a very public place like in front of the Tokyo tower where there’s a zillion people around. And bring a girlfriend with you. NEVER trust anyone too quickly…If he’s in a hurry, that’s a bad sign.
I’m also a Japanese girl living in California for past 11 years. I don’t think it’s safe to meet a guy online especially a foreigner. Please don’t do it. Think about it…if the guy is a sane, good looking guy with a good job, why would he go online and look for a girl from another country? He probably is an ugly loser who can’t get a girl in real life. I heard about a Japanese girl dated this white guy in San Diego who got killed by him a few years ago. The police found him naked on the roof of his house…or something like that. Apparently he was insane. It really happened a few years ago. Please don’t do it.
yes I meet my wife on a on line dating site, Yes there many nutters using these site, but you could also meet these guys any where not just on line,
find out as much info on the guy like work place, family, and telephone number, if possible get address and send a letter to proof that is correct.
meet after a few months of emails, take a friend and meet in busy place that you picked, and not by him
good luck ( by the way I am English and she is Chinese)
I me my wife on / but you could try this one. both are free to women
There’s both good people and bad people on the internet. If you really want to meet him, be sure to bring a friend with you just in case. If he doesn’t like that, he wasn’t a nice guy and then you don’t have to worry about it.
If he seems like a good guy, you should meet him. There are several precautions you should take. One be sure to see him on a web camera. Be sure he sees you. Us guys do judge a lot by looks. He should see you first. No point in wasting your time if he is going to turn you down on your looks. The web-cams are slow, so I do not think you could use it to tell if he was lying. Second, you should bring along some friends. You can still learn a lot about him with other people there. Do not bring a prettier or more talkative friend. He may go for her instead of you. I know of several cases where this has happened. Go to a public place, like a restaurant. Watch how he treats other people. I know of several Americans that met their Philippine wives, on line. They are mostly, happily married. The one one exception, the guy got into gambling, and his wife is divorcing him.
Is on-line a worse place to meet then in a bar. I have only been in Japan at the airport, for three flights to the Philippines. If you are really concerned, there are on-line places that will do a criminal background check on someone for maybe $ 50.00. How much did you know about other men before you dated them the first time?
